Anime Detour Announcement

Ghost in the Shell: Arise

March 21st 2016, 13:12 CDT

Warm up for Anime Detour with a free anime screening! Join us this Saturday for a large-screen viewing of the Ghost in the Shell: Arise OAV, dubbed and released by Funimation.

The "Ghost in the Shell" series is rapidly achieving legendary status as a hallmark of anime, if it hasn't already. From the original 1995 film to the 2015 "Alternative Architecture" TV series, the special-operations task force Section 9 and its cyborg leader have captured the imagination of countless sci-fi and anime fans. The "Arise" OAV, released in 2013 and 2014, is a prequel to the other titles that branches off into its own alternate timeline.

We will be showing all four main parts of this short series:
Ghost Pain (50 mins)
Ghost Whispers (50 mins)
Ghost Tears (50 mins)
Ghost Stands Alone (50 mins)

Admission: FREE!

There will be concessions available for sale, but there is no charge to attend this event. Feel free to bring your own snacks and comfy chairs if you wish. This is open to the public; tell your friends!
