Agenda
- Recap off cycle board actions and votes
- Planned Discussions from scheduled visiting parties/ATC Partners
Coordinator Updates
- Finance – Jeannette Wallen
- Dollar amounts:
-
- Business Checking: 235,156.07
- Education Fund: 3,098.52
- Business Market Rate Savings (Community Fund): 14,507.99
- Anime Detour – J.C. Horvath
- Anime Detour Budget: (2026 proposed Anime Detour Budget Link )
- The chair team got the budget request from every department. We were able to identify some easy cuts that caused little pain and we were able to say yes to most things.
- Total Proposed Budget: $490,656.97 this is $4K more than the proposed budget for the 2025 convention cycle.
- Total income from 2025 was $502,614.57 so the proposed budget is still under that.
- Any larger changes between a department’s proposed budget to the chair team to the approved budget are normally expenses that are shifted from one department to another. There were a few things where we thought an expense would make more sense in a different area.
Motion to approve the Anime Detour Budget of $490,656.97
Seconded (Nick)

- Charities – Jacob Warner (Christina went over the items)
- The 2025 charitable donations have all been processed electronically or the checks have been sent out.
- November 15th is the Mondale Gala with JASM.
- We will have two representatives going to that.
- We got an email from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design thanking us for our donation.
- They are having an art sale on November 20th that we may share on social media.
- We will try to find someone / will figure out who will go to the event.
- Communications – Makaila Kozitza (Absent)
- She is sick, but she let us know that she didn’t have any updates
- Special Events – Alli Cassel
-
-
- Went through each of the Capital Expenses, Operational Expenses, and the Other Expenses.
- Would like to do the artist giveaways again at the table.
- We are sharing a room with Kitsune Kon at ColossalCon.
- Went over a couple different events we would like to have a table at, looking into Saint Cloud Pride.
- Added onto the printing budget and business cards because those both turnout to be a lot of money.
- The budget is nearly the same as last year at $11K.
- Lori- suggested putting more into the Table Supplies / Artist Giveaway
- Bumped up this item from $500 to $1K.
Motion to approve the 2026 Anime Twin Cities Special Events Budget of $11,540.00

Motion Passes
-
- Toshocon / AUSM Jigsaw event
- Had a table at both events, heard that they went well.
-
- Otaku Fest at Brühaven
- Alli was there, thought it went great, we were thinking maybe in April having the event again so we can promote it at Detour and to not have it overlap with another convention.
- Anime Fargo
- Had Hope and Buttons there
- We have Twin Cities Con and Colossal Con coming up and NebrasKon we will not have a table there since we have a bunch of people working that convention.
- Got an email asking if we want to participate in the Illuminate Festival of Lights on behalf of the Pan Asian Center at the Maplewood Mall.
- Don’t see any issue with putting our name and information out there for the Pop Culture and Anime weekend, and we will do a quick interest check from the team so we can get back to them
- Still looking for additional people to join the Special Events team, please reach out if you are interested and we will interview you to see if you would fit with the team
