Anime Twin Cities Board Meeting Minutes


December 10th, 2024

  • Recap off cycle board actions and votes
    • Jeannette was elected as Treasurer.
    • The paperwork was filed for trademark renewal.
      • It takes a while to process on their end but hopefully we hear back this month.
         
  • Planned Discussions from scheduled visiting parties/ATC Partners
    • None
       

Coordinator Updates
 

  • Coordinator Positions Open:
    • Charities
      • Two representatives attended the Saint Paul Nagasaki Sister City Committee’s Celebration Dinner
        • This was a celebration of all their events, and they did a fundraising event to support their scholarship and events.
    • Communications
      • No updates but we would be happy to get someone to fill in for social media.
    • Special Events
      • Members went to Twin Cities Con and Colossal Con North last month.
      • The next one is AMKE (Anime Milwaukee).
         
  • Anime Detour – J.C.
    • Detour is progressing well, we’re past the transition point of making larger plans and are now more so zooming into more specific details.
    • We have nearly all our head positions filled with a lot of great old and new members.
    • If you want more specifics, please come to the next staff meeting:
      • Staff meeting on Sunday, 12/15 at 1 pm
      • Ridgedale Library, Ladyslipper Room

      • If you can’t make it in person, you can instead catch the livestream on the Anime Detour YouTube page, or the recording after the livestream has ended.

  • We received the initial updated Bylaws draft this morning.
    • We were hoping to get it last week but instead we just got it back this morning. There is a lot we want to go over with him so it isn’t ready to be presented yet, but we will be able to present the updated Bylaws at the next meeting.
    • We want to get the Bylaws finished first before adding policies, which will be on the docket next.
